Privacy Policy

This policy covers methodandapparatus.com, the practice's email and scheduling, and the tools it uses to publish to social platforms. It is short because the site collects very little.

What this site collects

Nothing directly. There are no forms, no accounts, no newsletter, no advertising, and no analytics. We set no cookies of our own and do not track visitors between sessions or across sites.

What third parties receive when you visit

• GitHub Pages hosts the site. GitHub receives standard server request data, including your IP address and browser user agent. See GitHub's privacy statement.
• Google Fonts serves the typefaces from fonts.googleapis.com and fonts.gstatic.com. Loading a page causes your browser to request those files, so Google receives your IP address and user agent. See Google's privacy policy.

We receive none of that data ourselves and hold no server logs.

If you contact us or book a call

• Email. Writing to gregory@methodandapparatus.com means we hold your message and email address for as long as the correspondence is useful. Mail is hosted by Zoho.
• Scheduling. Booking through Cal.com means Cal.com collects whatever you enter on their form, under their own privacy policy, and shares the booking details with us.

Social platform data

The practice publishes to LinkedIn using LinkedIn's official API, with an access token authorised by our own account. When we do:

• We read only what is needed to publish and to see the response to our own posts.
• Post text and the resulting post identifiers are stored in our own private repository as a record of what was published.
• We do not build profiles of other members, do not export member lists, and do not sell, share or transfer any platform data to third parties.
• Any personal data obtained from a platform is deleted when it is no longer needed for the purpose it was obtained for.

Client work

Consulting engagements are governed by the agreement signed for that engagement, not by this policy. Client material is held only as that agreement provides.

Your rights

You can ask what we hold about you, ask for it to be corrected, or ask for it to be deleted. Write to gregory@methodandapparatus.com and we will respond.

Changes

If this policy changes, the date at the top changes with it.
